Is it human nature to swing like a pendulum, between excess and austerity? I wonder this aloud as I enter my lunch choices into the NOOM app following two months of enjoying every good thing set before me. I’m likely to find the genesis of a poem as I ponder it all on the way into my studio, far from the box of candy on my counter.
