I love Bosco. I had two goldens. Laid back and sweet. I feed them all real food. I'm going to try your wonder sauce. Can I substitute blue cheese in it?

Glad he is better. My older girl (12) had similar symptoms over the four months of the year and I began to worry this was to be her last Christmas. I went to a wonderful new vet practice and after eliminating many old age issues as a possibility and researching long after many vets would have stopped, they figured out she had been suffering from inner ear infections (undiagnosed and treated by the prior for YEARS!). 14 days of antibiotics later, she has not only got better but is back to the energy, appetite and mood of her four-year-old self. The puppy is in shock to no longer be the boss dog now that my beloved Tuppence is back herself again.

So this looks absolutely scrumptious! I must try it soon! Our animal friends can give us palpitations. My cat wasn’t acting his usual boundless self. Took him to the vet only to find out he had a growth on his mouth and needed surgery. Wish my cat had listened to Bosco! The news has turned my stomach and the Supreme Court has decided to be a supreme pain in the ass. I’ll just drown my sorrows with a glass (or three) of wine and your amazing sauce.

Green magic sauce! Goes with almost everything. Glad to hear Bosco's doing better. Us pet parents suffer when they're not feeling good. Keep us in the loop with him.

The green sauce looks fantastic, can’t wait to try! Dear, dear Bosco - what a sweet face! So glad he’s ok! One of the best joys of my near new neighborhood is the dog walking that goes on daily. I know dogs names, sometimes have to remind myself to note the owners names and faces.

Oh my goodness, what a great sauce. I had to laugh at your comment about the 5:00 what-to -do-with-chicken chicken. This sauce has all the tastes I love.Thank you for enhancing our meals.

The secret to cooking chicken breasts is dead simple: don't! Use thighs instead! And, I make a batch of pulled chicken twice a week with thighs. Amazing flavor with just a little bit of salt/garlic powder, but of course your sauce would add lots of flavor too. But, still, the thighs!

It’s 3:00 AM here and I couldn’t be more excited over this discovery recipe! I’m instantly hungry but can’t do anything till daylight. All ingredients, suggestions on how to use are on my flavor wheel. TY

Dear sweet Bosco - and all doggies, kitties, ALL pets - you light up our lives.

Marissa, I tried your green sauce last night with my own quick and easy riff on pull-apart focaccia. I'm always looking for a dip using my homemade Greek yogurt, and this was perfection! Think I'll use it with pasta this evening. Transformation sauce indeed!

I used to foster dogs from Big Fluffy Dog Rescue during law school and it was so rewarding. It was hard saying goodbye—but I knew there were sweet owners with delicious rotisserie chicken waiting for them. Glad Bosco is feeling better! ❤️

The sauce sounds great! Can't wait to try it.

All creatures, great and small need to eat real food. Duh. I look to nature to help me understand what our companion animals are supposed to eat (not kibble:). Look into raw based diets. Be mindful of fat content, lots of hidden fat in ground meats and prepared commercial raw. fat is where toxins are stored. Dogs are omnivores, cats are obligate carnivores and they have different nutritional needs. Wolves gorge when they've caught a large animal, and then fast, and will scrounge fruits and edible vegetation when prey is scarce. Cats subsist mainly on small mammals and cannot digest carbohydrates as they lack the necessary enzyme. Because they evolved in desert terrain, they drink little water when fed a species appropriate diet as meat is 80% water (like us). And they poop far less!

I know the point of this is a green sauce, but I can’t stop laughing about the Bosco story (now that I know he’s okay and just wanted something better to eat) thanks to all of your commentary, which added to the hilarity. Who knew a “food blog” could be so entertaining? Also, the first photo of Bosco… my heart is a puddle. 🥰
