Glad to hear that your daughter is doing well. It's so good that the USA has such a strong science and medicine structure. Healthcare workers are the best!
I ride my recumbent tricycle in our neighborhood and ride ont the street that has a few acres that have animals. I watch the chickens and the sheep and laugh at the antics of the new lambs. I look at the trees and the beautiful clouds. And I think to myself, they just keep doing what they always do. They have no worries about the things I see on my computer.
I am so glad your hospital experience was not al bad. And thank you for noticing the dietitian who came to learn of preferences for your daughter. Most people don't notice but RDNs are there keeping track of patients so they can intervene if needed.
And nurses, one of the most noble professions. So nice to have them when they are needed.
Chalk one up for science this week. May your daughter have a speedy recovery.
Yes, big yay for registered dietitians! Where would we be without them? I used to work in a clinic for people with inborn errors of metabolism (PKU being the best known). Those patients were on special formulas and tightly controlled diets. The dietitians were just brilliant. Literally.
You reminded me of my grandchild's month plus stay at Bonner University Hospital in Tucson. The competence nnd kindness recieved was so supportive. Our best to you and your daughter and family and wishes for her continued recovery.
Best wishes to your daugh that her recovery continues apace! Hope she’s able to get back on a horse and make it to a competition. And hugs to you for holding it together for her while she was hospitalized.
May your daughter's healing continue and be complete. Just yesterday, I explained to my 56-year-old-son that they are our children for as long as we live. Worry comes with the love. My/our go-to place for self-care is a nature trail where the trillium will blessedly soon blossom, and we can forget the news for an hour or so.
So sorry to hear about your daughter. I'm a lifelong lover of horses and am still riding (my horse Doug) at 76!. Had my share of horse oopsies but keep getting back in the saddle. There is a little insanity in being involved with horses. I hope she makes it to the IHSA show. Also, as a retired physician I'm glad to hear there is still quality and compassionate care available in our hospitals.
Your message of positive findings during a stressful week is a good reminder to us all. Thank you. And it is also such good news that your daughter is recovering. Best wishes to you both.
Your post is so uplifting, even under the circumstances. Hope your daughter continues
to heal steadily.
A couple of months you posted a recipe for Ukrainian Honey Poppyseed Cake. I made it into small mini loaves. I LOVED THEM! TY for sharing the recipe.
Had I known you were there, I’d have headed that way with coffee and brownies!
So glad your girl is on the mend. And nurses are THE make or break in the hospital experience—for both the patient and for those who love them. ❤️

May the gods gallop our glorious cowgirl to a quick recovery!!

Sending prayers for speedy and complete recovery for your daughter. I'm thankful that she's getting such good care.
Prayers to your daugh for a full and complete recovery. Blessings to you all. 💕

Your Sticky Toffee pudding is delicious, restaurant quality. Made a double batch, and it was a huge hit. Thank you!

Being thrown from a horse can be very dangerous (as you well know). I'm glad your daughter is doing well.
