Again with the perfect combo of yum and politics! This is everything: β€œDon’t let your loathing interfere with your resistance.” πŸ‘πŸ»

Last night the affogato my husband ordered at a local Italian restaurant came with a delectable garnish of crumbled amaretti, so I’m with you: the perfect addition! Just waiting for the ripe peaches to hit our local farmers markets here on California’s central coast.

You made me laugh long and loud over the β€œnot thinking about him” line.

West Virginia? Unreal! Report all bleeding.

Always love getting your recipes. About to try the cookie one from last week. Thank you!

Do I dare eat a peach. I’m both horrified by WV’s mandate and amused by the lover’s quarrel. It’s the little things that keep us going.

You got to love Jess Piper's suggestion about making all the phone calls to gum up the system. That girl is doing everything she can to save democracy. Love this recipe sounds easy to do. I will have to buy more peaches as I just ate the last one we had.

Perfect timing

In my kitchen now

three peaches sit in a bowl waiting

as an oat cookie goes stale across the room

Fragrant dreams begin

I can’t wait until the peaches come in here in Oregon! I made last week’s cookies and made some people very happy. I’m thinking of making them again, this time with cherries, chocolate chips, and nuts. Hmmm. . . Which nut to choose?

Used almond horns for the cookies, amaretto for the juice, vanilla ice cream for the dairy topping. Yum!

Maybe he was channeling the lyrics from an old country and western song "when you hear your phone not ringing, that's me not calling you!"
