I’m grateful Mamdani won. It’s time for a new generation of democrats to take over. Actually it’s way past time. I supported and voted for Harris, but I’m tired of donating and losing. I will buy E. Jean’s book. Seems like it is a good read.
Marissa, without doubt, you are the greatest American poet since Emily Dickinson---Hell, the last two lines alone would make Walt Whitman eat a bushel of grass in envy.
Soon I will be putting on that letter sweater, driving to your house with dogs and we shall all eat cake and cheer and laugh. And then we shall gather our wits and return to the fight!!!
You are awesome Marissa ! Not only are you the baking 'whisperer',, you are also a fan of our dearest E. Jean ! I would so love to own your cookbooks and her book (s). My youngest daughter, an ER RN++, is also an aspiring baker in her 'spare time.' She'd love your books !
This picture of her and others from her cheerleading days are precisely what I see in my minds eye to this day when I've seen her - ageless in my mind and many other pronouns.
While we get 100 degree heat and downpours here in Maryland, I am reminded that in "Hertford, Hereford and Hampshire, hurricanes hardly happen", so enjoy the gorgeous countryside (and English rain, too). E. Jean absolutely rocks. Hmm, might have to crank up my A/C and bake a cake! Go have a pint to celebrate in a local pub (while watching the rain. . . )
I’m reading her book! It’s so good!
Yay!

We’ll take good news wherever we can get it and relish it the way we should have been doing all along.

I just pre-ordered your book, Marissa! I even ordered the hard copy, since it's impossible to bake from a Kindle! 🙂
The book is on my list! Thanks. Nice to be among like-minded folks.

I am listening to her book, and it’s cracking me up. She truly is as fabulous as she is brutally honest.
