I'm loving the fluffy dog feet! Our little puggy girls be like "what?! Rain? Surely you don't expect us to go out in that kind of weather, we're so sweet that we'll melt!" 🙄😁

How sweet indeed. What are their names?

Their names are Pixie and Okra. Their male pug companions are named Murphy & Roadie. They are all rescue pugs except for Roadie, that we've had since he was a puppy. Roadie is our old guy now, nearly 15 & still doing great. I can't post photos here so I'll do it in a separate note. They're all as adorable as pugs can be!

for a not-very-patient kitty...he was quite patient...and so far hasn't murdered us in our sleep.

I guess you rinse and drain the beans?

You guessed correctly and I just added that to the directions! Good point.

Ok, so I made Kimberly’s chili. I was blown away! The flavors were so intense! I used what was available in the pantry and frig, carrots, celery, onion, leeks, garlic (6 cloves), butternut squash, beans (pinto, Lima, light red kidney), crushed and diced tomatoes, all the spices but NO SALT. I was shocked when I tasted the final product for seasoning and didn’t add a thing. Got rave reviews from my house so I shared some with my more elderly neighbor.

Thanks to you both for a great recipe!

Your kitty's expression says it all! As for cooking without exact amounts, I do it all of the time. Most recipes (other than for baking), I treat as suggestions. Also, kind of envious that you get to spend time and cook with Kimberley! I love listening to her (and all the sisters) from the podcast.
