Holiday Bake-a-Thon. Here. Now.
Days and days of recipes for cookies and other good things to eat
It IS the most wonderful time of the year. Because no one questions why I bake cookies all the time
(As if we need to justify this. Maybe this is what’s wrong with the world.)
Starting Saturday you can expect recipes for cookies and savory treats two to three times a week (and sometimes more) until New Year’s Eve.
And as ever, I look to you for inspiration for recipes. Searching for a taste of holidays past? Wondering how to update an antique recipe so it doesn’t require 2 pounds of top milk butter and 1 dozen freshly laid duck eggs? Wish there were more recipes that included persimmon/peanut butter/coconut/frankincense/myrrh? Tell me! And tell your friends, too. The more the merrier.
Seems like I’ve tried everything over the years including cake flour! But do you refrigerate the dough? Thanks for responding...the third generation tried this christmas but they still didn’t taste right. 😢
Looking for that perfect recipe for melt in your mouth pecan crescent cookies like my grandma used to make. But since I am 70, I’ve been trying for many years to duplicate them. The ingredients seem simple but I must be doing something wrong. Please help!!
