Ok, I made these today, but with regular old white flour (all I had). Love the texture and ease of the recipe!

Is it possible to use all purpose flour instead of whole wheat and oat? Would the measurements be the same?

This recipe inspired me to bake for the first time in decades! The cookies came out tasty! A couple of things I would change - I would add walnuts! I would use dark chocolate blend with semi-sweet to cut into the sweetness which I think was a bit overpowering due to the banana. The banana... I mashed the banana but did not measure the results so I would definitely remember to measure after mashing, as I think there was a little too much banana and made the cookies sweeter and thinner than expected. I may have added a little too much cinnamon, which I will also adjust next time. And I would like a little more salt - a surprising little granule of salt here and there in the bite - not sure yet how I will accomplish that, but I'll try. The yield was about 25 cookies, so a healthy amount for me and my spouse to last the week. Overall, I'm so pleased to have discovered you, your writing and recipe making. Thank you! :)

Forgot to melt the butter grrrr! I now have bowl of bananas and soft butter propped up by the vent of my oven trying to get some sort of melt going!

No hate for those fond of bananas, but I see brown-spotted bananas (or any bananas) as compost, and compost far enough away from me that I can't smell them. I have a little New Yorker cartoon panel somewhere with two people sitting on a couch. The guy is saying "bananas are the perfect food, easy to eat, lots of potassium, etc...." and the woman is saying "I loathe bananas, bananas make me gag." The title is "When Worlds Collide." I am that woman.

Okay, now I'm just going to let one of my "slice on cereal" bananas deliberately proceed to "overripe" status so I can make these! The cereal will survive without it.
