OMG! You are so wonderful to use E Jean Carroll's story to re-create a favorite cake! I'm going to make this, after I obtain things like milk and cream, and I'm going to pay attention to the maternal-like nag because ... that is so kind of you. And as for "our E Jean" well, I believe that she was intimately invaded against her will and she deserves double the amount of punitive and compensatory damages. Love to both of you extraordinary women!

Wow, this cake looks wonderful, will try it and share. Mom made a chocolate custard cake for my birthday. She’d melt the chocolate squares in a double boiler top then add to the batter. She died before we could talk about it, had no idea where the recipe was till I opened a recipe book my just deceased sister had made for me - and there was the recipe. I think it’s finally time to try making that cake. Thanks for what you do, Marissa. Blessings to you and E Jean both.
