Definitely making a cake to celebrate the verdict in the latest E. Jean Carroll case. The cookie recipe has made me curious as I don't eat halvah, although I've sampled it in the past. Some jokes about Trump are very funny but most are not and the memes are getting old; they're not clever. I think we need to be certain that everyone takes what Trump says and does very seriously as he's not kidding. Joking may normalize his behavior for some people. I have no answer, but I know I scroll past most Trump jokes and cartoons because there's nothing new and they're not that funny.

Not enough $$ in the world to compensate EJC. And obviously not enough shame to silence Mr. Short Fingers, because he has no conscience, nor any morals.

OMG.... I had no idea - zero clue that you had any association whatever with 'that' EJC, Marissa ! Honestly, I had no clue that I was on 'her', that EJC's substack either when I wandered in there ! What a delightful - even soulful privilege for small i to experience. Thanks for your acceptance here; I am ever more fortunate than deserving. Looking forward to discoveries and growth herein - that's my life mantra. Brava !

Without having listened to the podcast - yet - I can tell you with certainty that David Kamp is correct. The time to make Trump jokes ended many many moons ago. He was always a threat. He was always treated like a celebrity rather than a candidate, given one pass after the next and afforded billions in free air time. But he's a very serious threat.

PS. The chocolate halvah cookies look nearly as fierce as E.Jean! Right on Ms. Carroll!
