Now I have to buy a couple of limes but, the same as paying taxes, it's really worth it. Sorry, I know I'm a bit odd. I'm a retired academic who taught Federal taxation (mostly graduate level) for a long time. I enjoyed it and still enjoy the field. It's unfortunate that Musk et al are ruining the IRS, making it easier for the wealthy to engage in tax evasion, and using it to hunt immigrants. But, they are already imploding and many, many people are starting to fight back.

So am I, plus my mother was smuggled into this country when she was 2 years old, and she never was able to attain US citizenship, although she tried desperately all of her short life.

This sounds like a great recipe. I like that it doesn’t have tons of sugar in it, and I love the taste of lime and sweet and going to make these great idea. And such a good history to go with it.

We paid our taxes, although it was tempting to go on a tax strike this year. However, those of us who are not über wealthy will help keep the programs alive that help ordinary people. *We* are the responsible ones.

Dreaming of baking your delicious recipes helps keep me sane. Thank you.

Pre-ordered, and that brought me joy. I have usually sided with your dad on taxes....this year I considered escrowing them for our national parks or to house the homeless.....

How did you know I'd been obsessing over the taste memory of Luke Mangan's Licorice and Lime dessert this week? My lime yearning will get satisfaction with this cookie. Now to track down the Italian licorice treats I have stashed...somewhere.

What can I say about lime cookies? Salivation happens! What can I say about taxes? Taxes are the price we pay for a civilized society (me and Oliver Wendell Holmes, we're like that!). Or they're the price we all ought to be paying, whether we are billionaires or not.

Not even a lime fan, but my mouth is watering. I think it’s the word “buttery.” 😋😋😋

My grandmother, who raised me and my siblings, never complained about paying taxes. She understood the value of a good public education and good roads etc. And, make no mistake, we were poor. Government cheese and "fake" butter, aka oleo. This current administration is a travesty; one can almost hear the Greek chorus in the background predicting tragedy if they are not stopped.
