Your "puppy" is beautiful and the recipe sounds amazing. It is definitely being added to my "to do" list since sleeping is not my forte'; I bake better than I sleep. I subscribed to "The Contrarian" when it was announced and have recommended it to many others. We have to stick together
Bedtime cookies sound good. I'd definitely add the chocolate chips. After 30 years of being a night shifter, I have no problem sleeping at night. However, my mind spins all day from reading each next bad thing. Never deny a good cookie!
I read and copied this recipe yesterday when it appeared as part of The Contrarian. I subscribed to The Contrarian when it was first announced and I was so very happy to see your name on the list of contributors. We all have to do our part now. Next grocery store visit I'll pick up some peanut butter and make this recipe to have with my tea.
I’m happy to see I have all of the ingredients at hand. If you don’t have dried cherries around l respectfully suggest Cherry Republic in Michigan. They are a delightful company and very civic-minded. The Balaton cherries are pricey but next level delicious.
Thank you for the vegan alternatives! Can’t wait to make these cookies and see if they help me sleep. I think Norman must be the largest 5 month old puppy I’ve ever seen! Adorable 😊
Very happy to see you at the Contrarian—so many great people in one place, many of whom I've been following for quite a while, including you. As everybody knows (or should know) a good resistance includes baked goods and pet photos. I love seeing your new puppy!
Making, baking, and tasting these delicious cookies was a great comfort to me and my husband at the end of a disgusting week of politics. Thanks for the recipe! I slept better too I think!
Handsome brute, that puppy! I don’t usually comment but wanted to say you had me at ‘chuffed’. Dear Welsh friends were the only ones I heard use that word and I love the sound of it - in their voices!
Also loved your proposition that cookies could be the answer to some serious questions. Laughed a lot and that is one of my measures of excellence. Thank you and Onward!
Found you on The Contrarian. What a treat to also benefit from your delicious recipes in the future! And the added bonus of your pup! Well that just increases my smile. Thank you so much for bringing us needed information as well as cheer and contentment. That boy is gorgeous and he doesn't know it....the best kind :) Will enjoy watching him grow up.
Thanks for this lovely recipe ! I didn’t have the exact ingredients and ended up riffing on it. Came out very delicious. These were the mods: ww einkorn (had to add a little more at the end because I find einkorn handles liquid differently), fresh ground oat groats for all the oat components, threw in a little cocoa powder, maple sugar for the sugar, almond butter instead of peanut, and white chocolate chips.

Today. Baking these. Husband needs this prescription. I might too. 😜
They're good, Kim. Just made some.
Yippee! The ingredients are waiting for me on the counter, Doug. You've motivated me to stop working and go bake!

I copied it too, Patricia! Too bad you don't live next door... I'd have shared my peanut butter, as good neighbors are wont to do.

These are actually my dream cookies. I am feeling much better about things now!
We had newfy mix and she was the best dog ever!
Can i make these with almond butter? My husband has a peanut allergy. Thanks for being in two places at once!

Gorgeous and sweet - both dog and cookies.
I never go wrong with your recipes and tips which are so exacting in coming out successful. Thank you!
Can you share the name of “poochkin?”
Maybe I missed it…
I subscribe to The Contrarian and you and don't mind the duplication one bit. These cookies sound good – I'll give them a try.
