I plan to try these this weekend...but really, I just want you to know how much I appreciate your content....ALL of it. We are all anxious right now, and sometimes, the only distraction that helps is in nature or the kitchen. Keep creating!

ohhhhhh, thank you so much for saying that. i am grateful for your words, and for the community that we share. we need it more than ever. i think it’s important to know we have each other when so much of the our country seems to be living some different reality.

Chris Murphy made me proud this week. He's been killin it lately. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I was a journalism major in college, and lemme tell youuuuu it FLABBERS MY GAST to not only see what's happenin with the Constitution, but to also watch "the press" *not* push back on the lies & bee ess. It's absolutely maddening.

So thank you for what you're doin, and please keep teaching the children.

Quick tip for folks with fresher bananas: put em on a baking sheet & bake em at 350 for about 10 minutes. They'll really darken up.

Great tip, and love the support. And, may I please borrow “Flabbers my gast”? Love it. Thank you!

Thanks for your excellent post and the link. And the recipe. Yes to live videos. Yes to Wordle with the Pope. Happy Mom’s Day!

They hit a new low every day. Though these scones drown out all that misery! And I just happen to have bananas, pecans, and a new espresso machine....

Oh that sounds like a very good combination! Enjoy your new machine (and your scones!)

Senator Murphy makes me proud to be from CT. It is very difficult to stand before someone who is, by all accounts, dead behind the eyes as well as lacking an organ in the upper left chest area, and explain something as complicated as following the Constitution. But here we are!

Happy Mother’s Day, my brilliant, funny talented Thelma… or are you Louise? I’m so thankful our daughters met…for my very own selfish reason (now I have an amazing new friend!)

Off to drive home from school in the pouring rain….

I am sorry I’m only just seeing this, but I’m so glad our daugh’s met too! My mother’s middle name was Louise, so maybe I should be Louise? I feel more like a Thelma, tho. Hmmm. xo

I would totally be interested in a live video demo of you making scones!

Also, love you and thank you for this.

Scones? A break from social media? Oh yeah, please. And thank you for a recipe I might be able to pull off for a Mother's Day treat! You're the best.

Greetings, Video Demos would be great, but far enough in advance of a date that they would be being prepared for. Thank You Hal

I’m going to try these over the weekend. Do you think it will come out ok if I use a round cutter and make them that shape instead of making triangles? I want to get more and smaller servings.

Oh, I’m sorry I’m only seeing this, but as you probably figured, yes, it’s totally okay to use a round, floured cookie cutter.. And you can ball up the scraps and make yourself a special mutant one just for you! Cook’s prize!

I would definitely watch a video. I have been grating my butter for biscuits lately and they're the best ever. I freeze the grated butter for a bit while prepping the other ingredients.

I'll save this recipe for my July coffee hour offering after mass on my scheduled day. I've been scoping out scone recipes. This sounds yummy. Can you spare Norman to help me outside? Today is an especially horrible day with your NJ mayor. Listening now to Rep. Robert Menendez' words to get us through. And Newark airport. My late significant other was a retired airline captain who flew the NY area a lot. He would have been beside himself.

I cannot imagine what your late sig. other would’ve thought about the situation. SMH. The word “consequences” isn’t prominent in the vocabulary of many people in this administration, on many different levels.

Norman would love to be outside with you, esp if you need holes dug in your yard….

Murphy’s take-down gave me some solace. At least it was a satisfying interchange. We need more of it!
