What a wonderful speech by the Governor. Thank you for sharing.

I don't mind raisins in oatmeal cookies...as long as I know they are raisins before I bite. If I think they are chocolate chips and I get a mouthful of raisins, I am not happy!!

This year was my 50 year reunion at Mount Holyoke, but unfortunately, for various reasons I was unable to attend. Congratulations to your daughter!

I have always used my mother's oatmeal cookie recipe, which is very similar to this. I'm a chocolate chip and chopped pecan (sometimes coconut, never raisins) aficionado, but the addition of orange zest is tempting, and I'll include in my next batch, along with the egg yolk!

Wonderful words, yummy recipe (like Australian ANZAC biscuits). These graduates have had it SO tough! I can’t imagine having gone through COVID at their age and now graduating into the mess that America has become. Wishing them strength and hope and a positive future. We’ll all get through this, one way or another. Sending hugs from afar. Take care of yourselves.

Very bold to include chocolate chips AND raisins, you big ol’ rebel! Since I love chocolate covered raisins, this seems like a big no-brainer for me. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

It was a great speech, but sobering (as a Class of 1977 alum).

2 thumbs up on this one, and agree countless variations. Only diff I have is add some milk to replace lost egg white. Butterscotch chips instead of chocolate and top with a white chocolate drizzle

I never say no to chocolate chips in any cookie. I've been known to eat some chocolate chips right out of the bag (I'm bad). Love the speech. I feel for all the young people and little kids who have to grow up and go out into the world in this current rotten condition. May they jump right in and show up.

I am definitely anti-raisin, so I'll make these with chocolate chips! They sound fabulous. Congratulations again to your young architect! At my architecture school graduation in 1992, we had Millard Fuller, the founder of Habitat for Humanity. He was inspirational and humble, and gave us hope for the future, even though we were graduating into a recession. I still think about that day, and his kind words about the value of building something with your own hands, and taking ownership of what you create—wise words for young architects.

That speech is why this administration hates universities and education

But we will prevail!

The young ones are the future & I suppose well fuel them with cookies (and love and support too)

What happened to your podcast?

I miss them!

Thanks for sharing. I made these with chocolate chips and chopped pecans; quite good. I used lemon zest since I didn't have an orange.

Thank you. I was looking for a good oatmeal cookie recipe. Mine are always so dry.
