I made this for Mother’s Day, but used home made whipped cream instead of yogurt and skipped the jam (long story but I made a haphazard error and figured the excess sugar content from my mistake could be somewhat minimized by skipping the jam 🤣). The rosè simple syrup is seriously to die for!!!

Those are all delicious changes. Trifle is so willing to go new places! As for the rosé simple syrup, I am so glad you like it. It's sorta hard not to eat on/in everything.

I’m pondering all of the ways I could rosè simple syrup in everyday life.

Of course you're a berry anarchist. Why does that have to be a bad thing? The great thing about trifle is that it is a framework instead of a computer program, and you can use that structure to build whatever you like.

Thank you for allowing me to embrace my inner berry anarchist. Your description of trifle is spot on.

As with all your recipes, this one looks delish. I have leftover lemon pound cake that will take nicely to being trifled with.

I took the leap, and abandoned Twitter, aka "the hellsite." Where else, besides my inbox, can I find you?

"trifled with." heh!

you can find me on instagram @marissarothkopfeats and on Post when I remember to go there @marissarothkopf , because, as Tigger would say, "I'm the only one!" Please come find me in those places, but honestly, I am here on substack the most.

Wonder if a rose flavored simple syrup would work or maybe a lemon liqueur?

If the rose isn't too overpowering, absolutely. And definitely a lemon liqueur would fab.

Secretly making this Sunday while my gf is away for the day. I never bake, but I used to; I’m inspired by this one. Also, the verdict in E. Jean's case made my week, worth an annual celebration. E. Jean and her amazing lawyer stuck Tя☭mp's head in a bucket of Janitor In A Drum and mopped the floor with it.

How did it go? I hope it was well received.

Yes! She was very surprised, since she’s not my mom and because I don’t think I’ve ever baked anything from scratch for her. Nothing sweet, anyway. I could live on that recipe you posted. Went to Trader Joe's for the first time, just for the lemon curd, and fell in love with it. So, thanks for that as well!

That looks like evidence Mr Bosco rolled in a very nice riding arena. I see fabric on his coat. Horse pics please :) That Rosé syrup sounds very fancy. And bring on the yoghurt!! Thanks!

I like that you understand riding arenas so well, you appreciated the fabric on his coat. I will post some horse pics next post...just for you and esp because your last name is "trot(t)". I am sorry to point out the obvious, but your name pleases me so!
