I’ll be posting a new recipe for very chocolate-chocolate shortbread later today for the people who want nothing to do with peanut butter. In the meantime, for all the peanut butter fanatics out there, and the thoughtful people who bake for them, here is a list of recipes to consider. Some of my favorite cookie recipes are on this list.
You have fellow subscriber and my friend, Sarah, to thank for the request!
The Peanut Butter Blossom
I tweaked this popular recipe to ensure a soft peanut butter cookie. To my daugh, it would not be Christmas without these. See how well I raised her?
Peanut Butter Cheesecake Brownies
Peanut butter. Cheesecake. Brownies. Do I need write anything else?
Peanut Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
I don’t have favorites, I swear, but if you asked me what cookie I could eat non-stop 24/7, it might just be these. Oatmeal haters: Do not be put off. It only uses oat flour, which helps make these cookies tender. There will be no weird flakes of oatmeal interfering with your cookie-eating experience.
Buckeye Brownies
These were created with my amazing and brilliant nephew-in-law, who hails from the Buckeye State. It’s much less of a fuss than making actual buckeye confections.
Banana Peanut Butter Cup Cake
This here is a tender banana cake, studded with pieces of peanut butter cup and frosted with a dark chocolate icing. People who say it’s lily-gilded don’t get a piece.
Peanut Butter Breakfast Cake (AKA January Breakfast Cake)
In a season that may sometimes be filled with excess, here’s a cake you can enjoy for breakfast cuz it eats like a meal. Packed with energy from protein, satiety from fiber and only maple syrup for sweetener, it is a great set-up for a busy day of being, well, busy. Also, if you’re feeling like cake in the middle of the afternoon, but can’t nap for 3 hours after, go for a slab of this.
Many people seem to be having trouble with the link in the title. It links to January Breakfast Cake, which is it’s other name. At the risk of overkill, here is the link in all its linkitude:
Chocolate-Chocolate Super Chip Cookies
These chocolate-chocolate cookies are packed with 3 different types of chips: white, semisweet and peanut butter. You could, of course add in any variety of chips you like. Toss in Heath bars or maybe crunched up peppersticks and mint green chips. But this is a post for the peanut-butter heads among us, so you know what to do.
I’m the PB lover in the family & it’s smooth for me. Not a chunky fan! I’ve won two cookie exchanges using PB! The comment from a neighbor was, anybody can win with PB! The next year she made PB thumbprint cookies. Spoiler alert: she didn’t win! So I guess not everyone can win with PB! 🤣🤣
The peanut butter breakfast cake: Link doesn't seem to be working and I'm hungry. : ) xo
